Fandom/Stay Night preliminary sheet

Rider Sinbad
Master: Jack

Lawful Neutral

Strength: C
Endurance: C
Agility: B
Mana: A
Luck: C
NP: EX

Personal Skills:
Charisma: A – even enemies will bow their knees towards The King of the Seven Seas. Many become charmed by his noble words and his dream for a world without war, and more than once did people who tried to end his life end up becoming his most loyal servants. He combines the regal assurance of a king with the warm friendliness of a lifelong companion, appealing to people on several levels.

True Eyes of the Mind: B – He calls them waves, but he has an uncanny ability to read people and to analysis the battle situation calmly no matter the circumstances. No matter how bleak the situation is, if there’s even a small chance of making a comeback – Sinbad will find it.

Manipulation of Mana: C – He can negate a single-target mana-based attack by expending his own prana as a shield, but it is an extremely taxing for him, requiring him to rest for an extensive period of time - overuse of this ability can lead to exhaustion, bleeding, and even death. His Partially Fallen state (below) does allow him to manipulate corrupt and negative energies, but that isn’t typical for this skill. A less taxing, and more useful form of Mana Manipulation is to touch someone to diagnosis the state of their magic circuit and innate prana.

Fallen Spirit: C – Due to unknown circumstances, he is partly fallen and corrupted, while this allows him to control any dark magic that infects his body and soul, it actually reduced his full power, shutting him out of several noble phantasms and tempts him to commit depraved and underhanded acts to further his goals.

Class Skills:

Riding: B – All but Dragon and Divine creatures will submit to Sinbad’s hand, more to his charisma and ability to sense ‘waves’ then to any natural riding ability.

Noble Phantasms:
All his forms are capable of flight and far more durable than his normal form.

Baal - The Djinn of Wrath and Heroes: Anti-Fortress, Anti-Army – A++. By summoning the Djinn of Wrath and Heroes into his body, Sinbad turns into a dragon-man, with the magical element of lightning. His first Djinn form, and the one he’s the most comfortable in. While he can just strike at individuals with an electrified blade, this form is more suited for large-scale attacks: he can generate lightning bolts to attack, and his ultimate magic in this form is basically a giant electrical orbital strike. The Djinn rests in a sword.

The true extent of his Noble Phantasm can be seen in it's extreme magic: Bararaq Inqerad Saiqa - The Lightning Sword of Extinction, which functions like an orbital strike.

Focalor - The Djinn of Rule and Submission: Anti-Personnel, Anti-Army, A+. By summoning the Djinn of Rule and Submission into himself, Sinbad turns into a Demonic Harpy-Like figure, with the element of wind. He can manipulate the winds in the form of tornadoes of various strengths and sizes – with his ultimate spell capable of demolishing a mountain. This Djinn resides in a bracelet.

The True extent of this Noble Phantasm is in the extreme magic of Foraz Zora - cleaving wind. It takes the form of two tornadoes that he combines into one.

Zepar - The Djinn of Discord and Control: Anti-Army, Anti-Personnel B. By calling upon the Djinn of Sound and Fury upon himself, he becomes a kind of imp, capable of emitting a sonic scream that’s capable of knocking out everyone not magically inclined in a very wide radius that could hear him, which he will use to keep civilians out of harm’s way. This Imp Djinn can also implant hypnotic suggestions in a vulnerable mind. Sinbad will use this to have eyes and ears all over Fuyuki to report back to him - and if needed, he can speak through a person who had a hypnotic suggestion in their mind. When not in use, Zepar lays dormant in a ring.

The true extent of this Noble Phantasm, whose call identifies him is Hadika Rajulun - Manipulated Resonance, which allows him to implant hypnotic suggestions into people's minds and speak through them.

Though Sinbad claims ownership of Seven Djinns, he is forcibly handicapped to only three due to his partial corruption preventing him using his full abilities. All the jewels on the vessels of his four inactive djinns turned into dull black stones to signify their inactive states.

Background: Sinbad the Sailor, “The King of the Seven Seas”, King Sinbad the Ruler of the Medieval Island-Nation of Sindria (An island broken into atolls in the modern era due to volcanic activity). His Seven Voyages before his rulership is famously written down in the 1001 Arabian Nights – naturally some details have been exaggerated or omitted for the sake of a good story.

What few knew that even had birth he was exceptional - born from non-magus poor family with such a powerful burst of magic that every sensitive person on earth felt his first breath. Growing up, even without formal training he displayed uncanny abilities to read the weather and people, which he used mainly to provide for his village. He saw hardships, his mother grew ill, and his father taken away to war despite his disability as punishment for hosting a foreigner, and many young men marching off to war, never to be seen again. But he never despaired, and continued to work for the sake of everyone.

One day, he defeated a group of bandits attacking a caravan, catching the notice of one of the last true Magicians, who gave him a rudimentary lesson on the magic arts and how to use a now lost ability to channel Djinns through his own body, using their power directly – a technique that few magus in his time could do (including the rumored magical branch of the Ren Dynasty of Imperial China), and almost none could do in modern times. The Magician stated that Sinbad was "A King who can change the world", and gave him advice on claiming the djinn Baal and they soon departed on good terms, the Magician hoping that Sinbad's kindness would do good.

This was how the Seven Voyages of Sinbad really began - as Sinbad realized he couldn't be a King in a small village and went off to seek his fortune. After traveling the world and seeing hardships and suffering created by war, he grew to detest the concept of war and sought to change the world. He started to gather power for his dream, never satisfied with his gains, mastering not one, not three, but seven djinns to answer his beck and call – and forcibly stopped by the Lord of Djinns from contracting with anymore – astounded by his power and disgusted by his greed.

With his wealth, he set on an 8th Voyage to find a good land that has no existing people – Sindria was this place. And with this wealth, he opened rapid transit from the shores of crusader-torn Middle East and North Africa for refugees to flee destruction. No one was discriminated based on religious or social status, and with the aid of his magic to help make the island better, the refugee camp of Sindria quickly grew to become a center of trade between Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, ideas and goods flowed like water through the ports. They took no sides in war, but they are well-fortified by a combination of natural features, a well-trained army, and a magus not afraid to use magical might few dare to attack them. He was adored by the people of his new country, who felt for once in their lives that someone cared about them.

It was a Paradise, but Paradise never lasts.

Many nations close by grew fearful of the Mage-King and suspicious of his true intentions, while others became envious of its wealth and land. Many religious leaders view him as someone that consorted with Devils, Mages either wish for his power, or are disgusted by his meddling with secular affairs – especially a cabal known as Al-Thamen - mages that controlled politics from behind the scenes and were incensed that he claimed many of the Djinns they had designs for and interfering with their carefully laid plans by creating a powerful nation out of nothing but his own force of personality.

Even his former instructor turned his back on Sinbad, declaring that he was "too perfect" - a person whose potential to change the world was so great that it could destroy it in the process if he were to throw his entire will into overturning the status quo.

While Sinbad was hurt by his master’s rejection – he didn’t care about anyone else, for as so long as he can keep his precious Sindria safe and spread the idea of anti-war, he will continue to do as he pleased.

Another Magician - one corrupted by demonic entities - made the first strike against Sindria, shattering a powerful barrier around the island created by one of Sinbad’s subordinate mages, leaving it vulnerable. The Corrupted Magician had a personal grudge against the Mage-King, and done it out of pure spite. This was the first step in Sinbad’s fall.

With the barrier gone it was a signal that he wasn’t invincible and vulnerable to subterfuge, for once causing him to pause in fear. More powerful nations equipped themselves to siege the island to take advantage of the confusion, but they were repelled, but the constant fighting exhausted the people, even when calling upon his allies it was clear they would lose a war of attrition. Fearing for his people’s safety, he grew desperate and delved deeper into magical experimentation.

He took a risk, and attempted a ritual to draw upon a growing corrupt element of magical energy with the idea of using it to attack all those who use this form of magecraft via proxy - namely the magus of Al-Thamen. It backfired and he became tainted. Sinbad discovered he could use it to cast the same demonic magic as performed by his enemies, and started to wield it against anyone who would threaten his country. As he started to wield magic - his perception of right and wrong - already shaky due to the weight of kingly duties started to slip further away until one his closest and dearest generals asked him:

"Is it all right, to become a person who uses people like tools, when you have started this country to prevent such a thing?"

The question was a wake up call, and realizing how much he had slipped away from his ideas, he put away the dark magic - disgusted at what he was becoming.

When it seemed like it came down to the entire known world declaring war on Sindria, he realized that while he was Sindria’s king and protector, he was also the source for the misery. He knew of a way he could defeat them all and the people of his country were willing to do anything for him to win, but he realized the people would die at his very whim - because he was their beloved king. Realizing what his instructor meant by that he was "too perfect", he chose to enter a truce with the leaders of the enemy alliances and stand down.

With a heavy heart, he announced a successor to the throne and abdicated. He sailed off to the sunset on his 9th and final voyage – never to be seen again.

The legends of the mage-king faded, and he was known as a king whose ideas were too far ahead of his time and was too stubborn to listen to reason. The nation of Sindria continued to decline without a strong guiding hand, and collapsed shortly after the last crusade, but it can be said it was never conquered.

Goal: A world that lives in peaceful co-existance, every nation unique and independent in joint alliance without war or strife.

Summoning Focus: A piece of Sindria’s Crown Jewels.

Other: Sinbad could alternatively be summoned as Caster or Saber and his Noble Phantasms will change depending on his class
